John is the owner, practice manager and principal solicitor for Hodgson Lawyers who are a Brisbane based law firm with offices in New Farm and Goodna.
John is well qualified when it comes to providing general legal advice whether it be for Family Law Parenting/Property, Criminal law, Conveyancing and or Estate Matters. More than just a Lawyer/Solicitor, John has built a strong reputation based on having an in depth knowledge and intimate understanding of these specific areas of law as well as a genuine ability to help people understand and work through their legal issues.
John is a proven performer who leads by example when it comes to providing sound cost effective legal advice. Starting his career in law more than 20 years ago, following a career in law enforcement and private investigation, he has brought a refreshingly honest style to the industry and combines this with a friendly nature and personal attention to his clients needs.
John enjoys a high level of repeat business due to the trust, confidence and transparency he inspires in his clients. He sees an important aspect of his job as being able to connect with people and their needs and provide them with reliable and clear legal advice which allows them to make the right decisions for their future.
John is also a Legal Adviser for the International Association Auto Theft Investigators where he assists that organisation with their compliance, constitution and membership issues.

Jo has over 30 years of experience working in law firms throughout Brisbane, and regional Queensland. She has worked for Hodgson Lawyers since 2010 and has been instrumental in the recent growth of the firm.
Many of Jo’s clients return to her because of her professionalism and expertise. Her clients come from Queensland as well as interstate.
Jo’s vast range of experience includes work in investment properties; residential conveyancing; mortgage documents; NRAS properties; Self Managed Super Fund Purchasers (SMSF) and transfers of property for family law and estates cases.

Daniel is an experienced Lawyer holding admission to practice in both the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia.
Daniel has extensive experience in Civil; Family; Youth justice and Criminal Law advocacy, with a special focus on individualised case management and a client centred focus.
With many years experience in Private; Non Government Organisation and government departmental engagement, Daniel is a decisive and results driven practitioner.
Alongside legal practice Daniel is also a Tertiary education lecturer and curriculum and compliance consultant engaged in the International University sector.

Natalie has joined the firm this year following her admission as a Solicitor. natalie brings to the firm a focus on family, criminal and estate planning and we welcome her assistance.
